Favorites while traveling

I am flying out in less than an hour to visit my uncles in San Francisco again. The weather has been less than cooperative for flying, so many flights are all jumbled together. While I wait at the airport, I've been downloading images of clothing and home products I would like. Thought I would share them with you folks.

First up, this angel wing/bat wing number. The dress looks very comfortable and if I'm shy about showing a little leg, leggings will go great with these.

As I picked out new clothing items, I found myself gravitating towards off the shoulder necklines. I love the color of this top--especially that touch of red on the hem of the sleeve.

Funky! LOVE LOVE the black and white diagonal stripes with the purple body of the dress.

There's just something about words on dishes that I am in love with. The whole collection of these little plates is perfect.

It's not often that I lust after a necklace. This style has been in for a while and I just keep going back to it.

Another off the shoulder number. Perfect weekend or to dress up for a night out.

I hope you enjoyed looking at these items as much as I did finding them. What else are people looking for this season?

weekends with tater

Remember those blossoms from my last post? Well this photo was taken that same day. Tater loved looking out at the water on the harbor...or at least I think she did. It's hard to tell what she's thinking unless there are treats, squirrels or cats involved.

weekends with tater

This weekend, Tate and I stayed at home for the majority of it. I needed to get lots of laundry done and Tate needed to, well, sleep really hard. I realized suddenly last week that I need to give my notice soon if I am moving out of my apartment and that has set forth a frenzy of purging and cleaning the apartment. Amidst all this, I needed a break too and we headed into Boston last weekend to walk around, enjoy the water and the blossoms. These trees were so gorgeous.
When we finally got home, Tater was ready to nestle into the bedcovers. In fact, she slept most of the next day, too.

I hope you all had fabulous weekends.

diy tissue covered tea light

I was inspired by this pin that I found on Pinterest a while back. I didn't have a large vase to try this with, but I thought a tea light size candle holder would work just as well. I also had a smaller circle punch for the tissue pieces.

supplies: tealight vase, sponge brush
supplies: paper punch, tissue paper, mod podge, scissors
optional supplies: chocolate chips and cheap beer
cut circles in half to start at the bottom of the glass. mod podge circles onto glass.
finished product that night
finished product in the morning (better light!)
